This is the beginning of my sketch for Derby City Comic convention coming up here in Louisville. I asked to do some artwork and they are having me do the booklet covers for the programs. I was asked to do a Derby Girl, the hat and everything. Oddly enough they were thinking of a jockey woman. I thought of that at first but went a different route and decided to pull from my own experience of the Kentucky Derby which was the horse races, hats and being dolled up. So far they love the idea. YAY!
